The 90-Day Make-it-a-Habit Challenge
I decided it is appropriate to explain about my so called 90-Day Make-it-a-Habit Challenge. The name speaks for itself. The challenge is 90 days in duration and its purpose is to establish some desirable habits in my behaviour and lifestyle. This is the basic information.
The challenge officially starts on the 3rd of June (Monday) but these two remaining weeks of May (from 20th May to 2nd June) I am having a test period to see how it feels, to change some aspects if required, and to adjust gradually to the schedule of the challenge. So far - so good, I enjoy it a lot and I see a significant improvement in my daily activities and the amount of work I accomplish. I am happy and having a lot of fun.
About Vera’s Jolly Adventures
After graduating from high school I took a gap year. I intended to spend that year preparing for university. However, things did not happen as I have planned them and I didn’t apply to university that year (2012). I do not consider this a lost year, though, because I had unique experiences and revelations that make me the person who I am today. I believe I have matured and learned some valuable lessons.
However, one thing I observed about myself is that if I don’t have stimulus and at least a roughly planned schedule, I tend to get lazy and do anything except the thing I am supposed to do – I have abundance of time, and I know I have work to do, but somehow I can’t make myself start. Do you know what I am talking about?
I am not saying I accomplished nothing useful. On the contrary, I had many priceless endeavors and experiences, I completed ample tasks - but not as many of them were connected to my preparation for applying to university. In fact I still don’t know precisely in which university I want to study (I have 5-6 in mind, though). All I know is that I want to study photography abroad.
And do not judge me – this is my life and I can live it however I want as long as it satisfies me. The truth is that I was beginning to feel depressed and guilty for slacking, so I decided to do something about it, something that would really help. Thus I started this 90-Day Make-it-a-Habit Challenge and this blog.
Blogging is a new area for me. The idea and inspiration about it came from my recent endeavors with certain You Tube vloggers. I enjoyed how they narrated stories of their life – some deeply personal – and showed them to the world. I like the concept of being able to share your innermost thoughts and to reveal your true self, allowing people to really get to know you. I think it is also kind of therapeutic. I am going to elaborate further on this and myriad of other topics in future articles.
Thank you for the attention! You are awesome!
