Second update on my 90-day Make-it-a-Habit Challenge
Greetings, my dear readers!
I hope you are doing well.
It is the middle of October already so I decided it was high time I posted another challenge update.

If you are new to my endeavors you can catch up by reading my previous articles about the challenge here:

As the title of my challenge suggests, it is a 90-day challenge. Considering that it started in June 2013, one can successfully conclude it ended in September 2013. However, that is not entirely true. This whole thing turned out to be more of a schedule than a challenge. A very efficient schedule if I do say so myself. Therefore I am continuing this project. Since the due date is over, I am renaming the 90-day Make-it-a-Habit Challenge. In the future I will refer to it as Vera’s Jolly Adventures’ Challenges and Schedule. Wow! That’s even longer. But at least it’s more accurate. Or I may just call it Challenges and Schedules. Whatever, it is not really important.
Now that we’ve cleared that out, I’m moving on to the challenge update. I’m going to comment following the order of activities in the schedule. So here we go.

Daily Challenges
- (Go to bed early and) Get up early every morning - 8:00 a.m.
- Drink at least 8 cups (2 liters) of water and other liquids (like tea) per day.
I’m thinking of changing some of my current exercises as well as starting John Kehoe’s “Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind” 20-part podcast series. Afterwards I also want to read his eponymous book “Quantum Warrior – The Future of the Mind” which you can find on John’s website, Goodreads and Amazon. |
- Exercise - WO, Running, Jogging, Jumping rope, Yoga, Stretching, etc.
However, I accomplished only a month of this three-month fitness program. I felt like I was paying too much attention to my body and being fit whereas neglecting my other responsibilities and endeavors. So I stopped working out on 17th September (which made for 1 full month of training).
Currently, I’m physically inactive. I’m considering trying Yoga or some kind of dances (Bulgarian folklore dances, modern jazz-ballet or something else.) I might as well start jogging or jumping rope. We’ll see. I just want something that will relax my mind while strengthening my body.

- Sort out pictures - at least 1 folder every day
Fortunately, I think I might have a motivation after all – I recently found a beautiful photograph of a yellow flower taken March 2012. This made me think: I have many more good pictures and photo sessions that I have neglected and forgotten about. I ought to search through my archives and dig them out. I distinctly remember kneeling down on the muddy ground in the back yard for quite some time and struggling to focus manually on the tiny yellow flower. It was totally worth it (see picture on the right). |

First I was pretty excited about it. Then I got very frustrated with the forums (I found that I strongly dislike forums!) thus lost some interest for a while. This led to my skipping the assignments for Week 2 (I actually did them after the due date). Recently I regained my interest and I do intend to engage more in the course. It is indeed quite useful. I will most likely post my assignments here in the blog.
- Random daily activities
Weekly Challenges
- Each week have a photo shoot + process the photos in Photoshop + publish them
- Read books and comment on them
- EXHIBITION - preparations and etc.
Challenges Goals
- BLOG - Vera's Jolly Adventures
I am not going to tell you what articles I’m planning to do exactly, because I might end up not doing them. Hate to disappoint. I’ll give you a vague hint, though. I intend to share more of my thoughts with you guys - maybe some random posts with my contemplations and revelations; knowledge and understandings of life; opinions and points of view regarding various topics.
Moreover, there are a bunch of recipes waiting for a very long time now to be written, (the pictures) edited and posted. Here are some of my favourite recipes that I definitely want to share with you: Oatmeal pizza, Tea Cake (my invention), Cake “Tatyana”. Plus some smoothie recipes left unpublished from the summer. I have no idea WHEN I will post all of those but I certainly will, so please be patient with me.
- At the end of the 90 days you should have a ready: Portfolio; Website; Business card.
It has been almost 150 days (from 20th May 2013 to 16th Oct 2013) since I started this Challenge and I have a bunch of exciting news in the goals section, some of which you may already know.
Firstly, I published my photography website “Vera Hadzhiyska Photography”. I mentioned this in my “Music # 4” article but it doesn’t hurt to say it again. You are more than welcome to visit it and check out my sample portfolio. There is also a photo blog (empty at present) where I will publish photo stories. Just go and see for yourself.
Secondly, I added some new info in my business card and printed out some copies to have with me just in case.
Finally, I have been carefully researching universities for the past few days and I chose 5 that I really like. It isn’t final but I am pretty content with my choices. That’s all you need to know.
Well! I think that’s it for now.
A freakishly long article yet again. I hope you made it to the end of it. If you are reading this, you clearly have so thank you, thank you, and thank you! I appreciate your time and attention. Leave your comments below. I’ll be extremely happy to read them and answer any questions that you may have.

Until we meet again,
Vera
