Update on books I’ve read
Hallo, guys!
How are you doing?
I have been reading a lot these past weeks. I will continue from where I left on the last article - Books.
I finished “The Last Song” by Nicholas Sparks. As I mentioned before, I had watched the movie prior to reading the book, so I had an idea how the story was going to develop and end. However, that didn't stop me from crying my eyes out…again. I really liked the book. It was way better than the movie - more intimate, subtle and touching.

Following was “What Really Happened in Peru” – the first part of “The Bane Chronicles” - co-written by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan. As a huge fan of Magnus Bane (The magnificent warlock you can find in “The Mortal Instruments” and “The Infernal Devices” by Cassandra Clare), I was pleased to read more about his adventurous life. “What really happened in Peru” was entertaining and fun, however, not as interesting as the second part of the series - “The Runaway Queen”. I enjoyed both, but “The Runaway Queen” I found more intriguing. The third part - “Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale” was released on the 21st of June. For those of you who don’t know, Edmund Herondale is the father of Will Herondale from “The Infernal Devices” so I am very excited to read it! I sense it will be good! |
Next on my list was “Study” – a series by Maria V. Snyder – “Poison Study”, “Magic Study” and “Fire Study” bringing up the rear. As the titles suggest, the first book revolves around poison, the second – around magic, and the third – around fire. The first two parts of the series I really loved - addictive books. “Magic Study” was so good that it took me mere two days to finish it. The third was way too intense for my liking; however the ending was wonderful and left me with a great feeling of contentment, so thumbs up for this series.
I’m not gonna spoil you with any details. All I will say is that the main protagonists are purely awesome. I can’t decide if Yelena or Valek is more badass. They are both incredible. On top of that they are so sweet together. Next on my favourite characters list are Ari and Janco, Kiki and Topaz. You would have to read the books to find out who they are. If you already have, I’d be happy to discuss them with you. ^^
